But to our suprise and disappointment We got part # W10186667....a Purple color PUR Push Button style filter for an ingrill type refrigerator.. Not even close..... The Filter sent fits a whirlpool and Kitchen aid.. The part they shipped on the invoice said it was the right part but it sure was not.. You would think some one would at lease verfiy the piture and the part number before shipping..Do not buy from amazon and the Buy it now store...

The replacement, however, has different water line fitting connections. This required substituting parts from the old valve to make the new valve operable. Fortunately, the old valve failed due to electronics. Had the failure been in the physical water line connectors, the "universal" replacement would have been a completely useless, and somewhat falsely advertised purchase.

Whirlpool : ECKMF94 Automatic Ice Maker Kit Review

(More customer reviews)My 13-year old Kenmore 106.xx side-by-side was having problems with the ice maker overflowing into the ice bin (a common problem according to the web). After fiddling with the adjustment screw and cleaning all the contacts with no improvement, it was time to order a new unit. I confirmed on the Whirlpool site that the #ECKMF94 was the replacement for my model. The unit arrived and was exactly the same as the original, with the exception of the size and shape of the on/off arm. Installation took me less than five minutes. There was one 1/4" hexhead screw to remove that locks the unit in place. Two other screws are loosened so that the unit can be lifted up and out. Then you simply unplug the wiring harness. I swapped out the on/off arm with the original (simply pulled out at each end), reinstalled the old, deeper arm, and within a few hours, I had ice again.

Exact "replacement" units for this model from the retailer were well over a hundred dollars, yet this model came with an extra ice bin and a new supply valve that I'm saving for future use. This is a really simple replacement job that I think anyone can do. If this one lasts as long as the first unit, it should outlast the refrigerator.

Amana NED4500VQ 29 Front Load Electric Dryer - White Review

(More customer reviews)This is the old-school Whirlpool dryer from 20 years ago, Whirlpool is now marketing them under the Amana name while selling the newer upscale dryers under their own name. It's a no-frills dryer with one knob that selects the temperature and cycle, but is much larger inside than the low-end GE dryer and has a larger lint basket too. Knocked off one star simply because it's so no-frills with no stainless tub or anything, otherwise it does the job that Whirlpool dryers have always done and because they've been making them since before most Amazon.com users were born, parts to fix this thing will be available for years and years, so it should last forever. Do make sure that the door to your laundry room is at *least* 28 inches wide, otherwise you won't get this dryer in there -- yes, it's a big boy!

(More customer reviews)As a previous poster noted, Amana does not acknowledge the existence of these rebadged Haier units on its site. Unfortunately, Haier also does not seem to acknowledge them, making support put-near impossible. The a/c unit does require a small window (or a large one largely blocked off) which can take some work if your windows are not the right size, but that's true of any unit like these. It is a very handy unit, without the need to empty buckets. It is also fairly noisy, with odd controls that require the remote. It was great the first year we had it, less so the second despite careful storage. You'd probably do better with a domestic-production (or European, or Japanese) unit if you can find one.

(More customer reviews)Our Amana Side-by-Side stopped cooling late in the afternoon the day before Thanksgiving.We bought ice and stuffed the fridge, then rushed to shop before the stores closed.This is not the way I like to shop.I like to do research first. But because we must keep Insulin chilled but not frozen we didn't have the luxury of research time and Internet shopping.

I knew I wanted this style because I love bottom freezers, it is easy to see items in the back, and it is energy efficient.

None of the stores we were able to get to before closing time carried this model.I found that most brands had freezer drawers that were extremely difficult to open.Some I couldn't open at all.

I was worried about buying American because I knew Whirlpool had bought the companies and we once had a Whirlpool that was nothing but trouble.Our son bought a bottom-freezer Amana after the company had been purchased by Whirlpool.He said he was pleased with it, had had no problems, and was told when he bought it that Amana still makes the machine; Whirlpool only makes the visible exterior.

I have recommended Amana to family and friends so the only question was could I open the drawer?Yes!The floor model was tight; the one on my new fridge is easier to open even when fully loaded.The freezer has 2 upper drawers for easy access to the foods you use most frequently.They slide.

The big surprise was inside the refrigerator section.The left side has 6 special holders for soda or beer cans.This saves a lot of shelf space.The right door has a special place for 2 gallons of milk.Shelves are adjustable.There are 2 crisper drawers and a deli drawer.To use the deli drawer you have to open both doors. The lights are bright.The water filter is up front so it's easy to replace.It's large so it should last quite a while.The fridge will tell you when the filter needs to be replaced.There's an alarm to warn you the doors aren't closed. It went off as we were loading the fridge.It's loud enough to hear across the room but it doesn't blast you out of the house.

This model provides ice and water through the door.You can select water only, cubes only, or both together.The temperature control is also on the outside.There is a child lock to prevent children and large dogs from playing with the water dispenser.(Yes, dogs sometimes press their noses to it.We have a friend who has a curious Great Dane.)

This refrigerator is quiet!Amana is not known for quiet refrigerators, only good ones.Insulation is great.It hardly runs but maintains temperature perfectly.

What you will miss are an egg container and a large ice container.I miss the crushed ice my previous Amana had.And I believe a side-by-side freezer holds more than this drawer.Both my Amanas are 25 cubic feet total but I don't know the freezer measurements.

The exterior does not show fingerprints!

It's louder than I'd like - but it's my first microwave so I don't know how it compares to other microwaves.And I'm a serious disliker ofnoise.
The microwaved food is very tasty.Vegetables are very flavorful because they aren't cooked very long.It's a powerful microwave so it cooks food fast.I was losing so much flavor, cooking things on the stovetop.

Amana : AMC2206BAS 2.0 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave Oven - Stainless Steel Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased this item from a local appliance store on Feb 19, 2010. The salesperson praised the Whirlpool line over Sharp or GE which they didn't sell.The Whirlpool line has Magic Chef on the low end, then next up is Whirpool and Amana with Maytag their top of the line.He didn't think it was worth the extra $100.00 to buy the Maytag for the little extra quality or features and neither did we.We were replacing our less than three year old Panasonic that had a spin dial and inverter that went out and the parts were as much as a new microwave.

The first one of these microwaves we brought home we got out of the box and the control panel was hanging loose on the front.The holes on the side of the unit looked like they should have screws to hold the control panel in and they were missing. We called the store and took it back for an exchange when we were in that town next.On 2/24/10 we brought the second Amana microwave home.They opened, inspected and tested it before sending it home with us.The panel was a little loose and had no screws in it but we were comfortable using it.

On 3/6/10 the light inside of the microwave went out.We called in and the appliance store sent us out a bulb for free but we have to install it because it wasn't covered under warranty.To even change the bulb you have to have a speciality security screwdriver to open the case (which we happen to have).

3/22/10 - We received the bulb but hadn't installed it yet and went to warm up some breakfast and the microwave was asking us to set the clock.We set the clock, opened the microwave and the screen went dead. When we would open and shut the door the control panel would flash about 6 times but now has stopped even flashing.It was completely dead.We tried plugging it into a different circuit, and plug (along with other items that were plugged in and functioning) and nothing.We have called and will bring it back to the store again and they are going to give us our money toward another one of these which we will NOT buy or another microwave in the store.

Save yourself the hassle we have had and buy another brand. At least we have an appliance store that will take a lemon back.

(More customer reviews)I suppose it's too much to expect that a cross-referenced part number would actually be an exact replacement on a 15-yr-old refrigerator. As it turned out, I had to drill new holes in the old sheet metal to mount the thing because its footprint was slightly different. Once that was done, it worked fine and fixed the problem. I was impressed with the excellent service from the vendor.

(More customer reviews)You gotta hand it to Maytag - they made replacing the water filter very simple.Took all of about 30 seconds from start to finish.And about 20 seconds of that was wiping up the water that dripped out of the old filter when I pulled it out, so the next change should go even better;-)

We have a family of six and we drink water almost exclusively, so I went ahead and changed the filter at six months just like the owner's guide recommended.However, I could see no evidence that the filter was near its end of life and am convinced that I can get more use out of the filters than the suggested six months.I will try to keep an eye on things, but without a little window I really have no way other than flow to know what is going on.

And that is why I gave this a rating of four stars.The filter seems to work wonderfully and replacement is a breeze, but I would be happier if I could look at the state of the filter while it is in use.

(More customer reviews)I've had this for a few months. I did not want to buy a Panasonic or a Sharp because of their high failure rate. I have other Amana appliances, so thought I would try this. So far it has worked out very well. It's been reliable and nothing has gone wrong with it.
One time I grabbed the glass tray that rotates and spun it a bit. This was enough to make the belt inside the microwave angry for a while. It made a bit of a bumping noise while it was turning the tray. The belt eventually righted itself as the microwave is no longer making the noise.
So don't rotate the tray at all while you are cleaning or anything. The unit still works just fine. Overall, I'm quite happy with it.
My former Sharp microwave had the display die within a few months. The Amana's is still working.

(More customer reviews)Everyone please note that these are Water Sentinel filters and NOT AMANA as the title suggests.This is very misleading as this is not the Amana brand name replacement as the title implies , but a generic replacement.I did not notice this until I received the product.The picture shows it, but I do not think they should be able to say it in their title and I am going to let Amazon know about this.
