(More customer reviews)The delivery people dropped this off, and we unplugged it almost immediately due to a high pitched, headache-inducing noise when the compressor comes on (verified by visitors to our home).The service person from our vendor came the next day, agreed upon the noise and thought there was an issue with the compressor. He had our salesperson replace our refrigerator with another new one.The new one had the same problem, so we contacted Bosch directly and they sent their representatives out.They could not find an issue with it.Our vendor's service person came out again and called his Bosch representative, who noted a similar problem with a prior model and suggested replacing a board.The board was replaced, but the problem persists.Bosch and our service person had no alternative solutions and we are now returning the refrigerator altogether.

We purchased several other Bosch appliances at the same time (dishwasher, stove, washer, dryer) and found them all to be great; sturdy and quiet.We are extremely disappointed and unsure what we will end up buying.The only other Bosch refrigerators available to us are in the same series (we have 300, 500 and 800 appear to be the same except for more features) so we are afraid they will have the same problem and are looking at other manufacturers.

(More customer reviews)I upgraded from the standard freezer on top and no water dispenser or ice maker and this review is coming from that perspective.

We bought this fridge because of the dimensions that fit our space.We couldn't get the standard 35 3/4 in width fridge.We looked at LG and the thing I like about this fridge is the internal water dispenser.It means that you do not need to lose any interior space.I'm glad I didn't get the LG because the loss of door space would have been a problem.The ice maker is in the freezer (no crushed ice) and works fast.It makes 100 cubes a day.

The interior space seems to be the same actual space as the old fridge but there are many configuration options making better use of the space, possibly.Not sure if it really makes a difference.

The thing I like the most is the fact that I do not need to bend down to see what's in the fridge.

A few other things that I'd like to mention because I have seen them in other reviews:
Noise: More than a fridge without an ice maker not really noticeable.
Energy efficiency: Seems OK.
Stainless steel: Get the stainless steel spray cleaner (not the wipes).Does a great job keeping the prints off.
Ice maker: Cranks out the ice.Once I think the there-is-enough-ice sensor didn't detect that the ice was full.You can turn off the ice maker so no biggie.
Water dispenser: It has an easy to change filter accessible inside the fridge.Water tastes excellent.The first gallon or so had a plastic taste (I also used a plastic water line) but it went away.I hear this is common.
Freezer drawers: There are three.It seems ok.Very different from the old top freezer.I like it but it makes you pack more efficiently so you can slide the drawers.This tends to force you to pay attention to what you have in the freezer rather than just tightly packing it in like in the old days.

Overall I am very happy with the fridge and would recommend it to anyone.I realized that after I bought the fridge that there was a model with an external water dispenser that doesn't take any space away from the interior (ice maker is still in the freezer). Had this been available when I bought it, I may have opted for it.Still I have no regrets.

(More customer reviews)The fridge is nice over all lots of shelves to adjust etc.After about 8 months in I started to hear a knocking noise sometimes late at night coming from the fridge.Diagnosed the ice maker in the top left gets jammed up and tried to keep making ice it will not shut off so the gears that turn the ice into the bin just grind away.This is going on for about 5 months now and sometimes its once a week and lately its every day sometimes twice a day.I am in contact with GE to fix but other reviews many people were told it was normal and there was no fix.Just a fair warning if you are going to drop over $2k on a fridge I would make sure they have this issue fixed.If you look around on the Net its a very common problem with this fridge with a lot of very frustrated users and customer service techs trying to tell me its normal for my fridge to sound like someone is knocking on the door for 1 hour straight at all hours of the day and night which is unacceptable.

*Black on cartridge after 2 weeks!!
When asking about what it is, they said copper, or lime!This is silver!! Only recommendation is Reverse Osmosis which is very acidic= disease!!
I live in the city, and have had no bad taste or odor, and when asked what they recommend, they sent a cartridge that eliminates bad taste and odor (mostly)- that is its purpose!
Culligan came and tested the water from it- NO dissolved solids were being filtered out!! This is a 3-stage filter!!
This is a new cartridge The one I ordered last year which put out a salty taste "I shouldn't have been drinking"!!No instructions!!! Then when it was time- a very questionable time (no one really knows when) a slime was forming on the inside of the faucet!!
When trying to get a refund for both of these new cartridges, "they have to have me send it back and have them test it!!"This is after 2 weeks of pulling teeth to get someone to talk to me about a refund!! Then they shuffle me between staff after another already approved the refund and after aa very lengthy conversation!A carbon block test is not going to fail, but recommending me the wrong product isn't enough for a refund unless it is still in its package unopened?!!
DO NOT order from Crystal Quest or any of its affiliates.
I have researched more since and found spring water is not fluoridated unless it says on the bottle!! -law and it is very close to neutral Ph!! 6.8 do not get a purified, or distilled or reverse osmosis- acidic! = diseaseI buy Chippewa, but there are many companies.

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 of these at Walmart today.I'm not thrilled with the design because it's not an efficient use of space, but I have been having trouble finding any kind of large glass beverage container that has a lid.I paid <$5 each for mine, so that was also a plus.

Well I got it home and now I realize that my hand won't fit in it to clean it (I'm an average sized woman with fairly thin hands).If I'm diligent about rinsing it out I can probably get buy with a scrub brush, but if anything ever dries in there so that it requires elbow grease, I'm sunk.

(More customer reviews)This model is newer inside than the larger, non-counter depth model RS275ACRS. I returned that model to get this one and am very glad I did.

1. This model has interior LED lights when you open the refrigerator instead of the hotter old bulbs like the 275.

2. I am somewhat compulsive about temperature control. I have two precision thermometers, one in the fridge and one in the freezer compartment. On the RS275ACRS, the temperatures were nowhere near what the external display was reporting them as. On this model, however, the refrigerator is usually within 0.2 deg F of the reported temperature (at coldest setting of 34F, thermometer reports 34.1 whereas the 275 would be all over the place, never lower than 37 or so).In the freezer, this model is rock solid at -10 F when the external display is -14 F. I consider this excellent, as most freezers can't get this low. The 275 was lucky to get to -7 F with the display at -14 F. And yes, I allowed plenty of calibration time and took multiple readings over weeks. So, in my testing anyway, they have definitely upgraded the innards since the 275.

3. This model has the icemaker on the freezer door, not hogging the upper shelves of the freezer, which I love.

4. It is, obviously, slightly shallower than the RS275ACRS, but the markedly improved performance is well worth it to me.

5. Fridge very quiet.

6. External display slightly improved vs RS275ACRS.

(More customer reviews)Got our first Bosch, and it was great. Quiet and beautiful to look at. But a defect inside allowed the glass shelves to fall off their pegs, just as you put a gallon of milk on it. Bosch came out and condemned the unit. I was impressed. Out comes #2 refrig. Plugged it in and the compressor sounded awful. A metallic rubbing sound inside the compressor. Could hear it across the house. Ice maker did not work. Out came Bosch, who replaced the ice maker but said the compressor was fine. Well the compressor noise has gotten louder, and now the ice maker died again. Also the refrig has a door open alarm feature. Well, my kids left a fruit drawer out a little, which caused the door not to close all the way. I woke up the next morning to a refrigerator that was 50 degrees inside, and no alarm sounded. Out comes Bosch for the third time. He condemns the compressor, ice maker, and a computer board. I contact customer service and demand a new machine, as it is only 2 months old. "Sorry, our warranty says we fix it, so thats what you get" She also refuses to let me talk to anyone higher than her " I am as high as you can get" she says.
I purchased it from Fergusen Enterprises, a wholesaler to the construction market. Jeff at Fergusen in Downers Grove Illinois, stepped in and pressured Bosch to replace the unit. We are currently waiting for Unit #3 to arrive.

GE GXRTDR Inline Water Filter Replacement Review

(More customer reviews)My wife bought the GXRTDR in-line water filter because the GXRTQR filter was no longer available and the box said it would work as a replacement.As far as I can tell, it will only work if your old tubing is 1/4 in.Mine is 1/2 in. There were adapter fittings for the GXRTQR so I never had any problem with replacing it.I tried to do an install, thinking that the stub of a tube inside the fitting would marry, but it was too short, so I had to put the old filter back on.I have to either replace the tubes on fridge & at the faucet, or find another filter.

(More customer reviews)I followed the preparation instructions to the letter and two days later I was getting complaints from co-workers that the flow was too slow and that, most importantly, it was leaking at a mild but consistent rate...and not from the drains at the bottom of the unit but from the seams along the sides of the bottom, especially if it were tilted (we don't normally tilt our water dispenser but I did tilt it and it definitely increased in its pour rate). The unit would just sit there and leak at a slow but, again, consistent and irritating rate. I wish that I had just not bought itbut I am glad that we have the old tall tower that this unit was to replace because of its nice size.

Think again before you buy this.

(More customer reviews)Ok, 1st things first - a- Icemaker works fine, and we use it for our Florida summer Margaritas... and for our nightly icewater, and for a 3 person household, all the way around plenty o'ice. This seems to be a mjor issue in the reviews. There is a 36 hour icemaker setup procedure included by Samsung that we followed exactly, and no problems at all with ice.

We got the beast from Best Buy, best price (at the time of this writing, ~ [..]-2,100 (we paid 2100), and 36 months no interest payments vs 12 months from Lowes and Sears.

My wife thinks we lost room in the doors, we made up a ton of room in the freezer, plus the rightside door is plenty of room.

Great configurations, pizza tray is lost on us in the freezer, but the Costco worthy bottom freezer keeps plenty o' meat for me.Well worth it in space, delivery was fine, no issues with service as we have not called in, delivery was great. The delivery guys said they delivered one elsewhere where the recipient paid[..] or so, may not have been the real stainless one.

Would buy it again, that's the best i can say. Only issue, what a pain in the butt keeping the stainless smudgefree! Its our 1st stainless fridge!
